Jaws of course. When you see the shark for the first time. There is nothing better.

Dirty Mary, Crazy Larry, dir. John Hough (1974)
now on netflix streaming, fuck fast the the furious, this is a real car chase movie
I love this movie. It’s an essential. One of the few times I’ve ever gasped in life was at the end of this film. It legitimately took my breath away.
25. Excellent soundtrack.
I’m going to have to go with Dario Argento’s Profondo Rosso (aka Deep Red - 1975). This soundtrack, composed and performed by Goblin, is ridiculously creepy. I legitimately can’t listen to it when I’m home alone for fear that someone wearing black leather gloves is going to brutally murder me.
24. An effective jump scare.
Jaws (1975) - In its entirety.
